Project WASH – Phase 2

The success of the first phase of the WASH project led to the signing of a second phase.
The activities and expected results are identical to those defined and expected in the first phase.
As a remark, it should be noted that despite the implementation of these project phases, the water problem is still very acute in the Batha region (project area) given the immensity of the region.
To do this and to completely solve the problems related to water and sanitation in the region, a third and even more is necessary.
We note that UNICEF and the Swiss Cooperation are aware of the situation in the Batha region and could still finance a third phase of the project
WASH Project – Phase 1

As part of its Program of Cooperation with Chad and in response to the problems of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene, UNICEF has concluded a partnership agreement with ADRA Chad ( PCA 2014/06 / CHD / WASH / ADRA) to finance the cost of the Project on “Supply of Drinking Water and Sanitation to the Sanitary District of Yao in the Batha Region of Chad”.
This Partnership Agreement has a total amount of 936,903,558 FCFA (1,873,807 USD).
